YOUTH KAYAK & CANOE EVENING PROGRAM
Make new friends, be active and learn paddling basics and develop skills in canoes, kayaks, and war canoe all summer long ! FUNdamentals is all about learning how to kayak and canoe safely and developing skills and technique all while having fun. No paddling experience is needed...just enthusiasm!
When - Tuesdays and Thursday 6:00-7:30 pm, July and August. Join for one or both nights, your choice. This program runs subject to weather conditions.
Where - Muskoka Paddle Club, Kelvin Grove Park, Bracebridge
Who Is This Program For ? - Youth ages 8 and up who want to learn how to become proficient paddlers, and explore what paddling has to offer. Participants should be comfortable swimming, skills equivalent to Red Cross level 6 or higher. This program has a limited enrollment, providing participants with a low coach/paddler ratio.
What Boats Will Be Used ? - Mini and K1 competitive kayaks, mini tandem kayaks, recreational canoes, C1 and C2 competitive canoes, war canoe
Fees - One session/week: $ 165.00 (non members), $125.00 (family membership holders), Two sessions/week: $240.00 (non members), $200.00 (family membership holders)
Program fees include a general youth membership for the participant which allows them to access the boats that they are leaning on outside of program hours, while under parental supervision for the entirety of the season.
All fees are due in full at the time of registration to confirm participant's place in the program. Please contact the club for an installment payment plan if needed. For further financial assistance please contact the Children's Foundation of Muskoka or the District of Muskoka Summer Camp Fund.
