Club House Staff/Assistant Coach
THIS POSITION SHOULD BE OF INTEREST TO ANY STUDENT OR YOUNG PERSON AGE 15-29, WITH PADDLING EXPERIENCE, LIVING OR COTTAGING IN THE MUSKOKA AREA
Full Time: Mid June to August 25, 2023, 30 to 37.25 hours per week
Part Time Positions may also be available from June to September 2023. Please specify preference when applying.
Job Summary: Reporting to the Commodore and Directors, the Staff Person will sign out and manage club equipment for members. They will assist with program planning and delivery, teach basic stroke technique and water safety, maintain inventory control of club equipment, and assisting with youth sprint racing program. This position is idea for an individual who can work independently, is self motivated and enjoys working outdoors.
Additional Preferred Experience: CPR/First Aid, Pleasure Craft Operator Card, Bronze Cross or Swim Instructor Certification, proficiency in canoe and kayak paddle technique achieved through ORCA classes, tripping, sprint or marathon racing, experience, etc. Above average swimming skills, NCCP Level 1 coaching certification with Canoe Kayak Stream
Successful applicants will be required to obtain a Vulnerable sector criminal record check.
Rate of Pay: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour based on experience.
