August 26th, 2017. Shadow River. Day trip exploring the Shadow River near the town of Rosseau. Thanks to Terry for the photos!!
August 20th, 2017 First Annual Club Regatta A fun time was enjoyed by all. Perfect weather after three prior days of miserable rains. Many boats were taken out for fun events! Looking forward to next year's Regatta! Thanks to all volunteers who made the club's first regatta a success.
July 29th, 2017. St Nora Lake and the northern part of Kushog Lake was explored. Goat and St Margaret Islands were successfully circumnavigated. Paddling conditions were perfect. Warm, winds were breezy enough to keep cool. Powerboats traffic were respectful.
July 15th, 2017 - An exploratory paddle upstream on the Nottawasaga River from the Edenvale put-in. Recent rainfalls had increased the current flow which made for an effort going upstream but a fast return downstream. Willow River wetland is vastly different from the usual rocky banks of Muskoka rivers. Worth coming back to explore further when bugs are less bothersome.
June 21, 2017 - An evening paddle on the Indian river. Put in at Hanna Park, Port Carling. Explored the Indian River from the small craft locks to the delta at Lake Muskoka. Perfect weather, calm winds and very little power boat traffic.
June 12, 2017. A North Canoe Clinic was held at Kelvin Grove Park. It was well attended. So many came, the paddlers were divided into two groups. Thanks to Michael & Rodney Ruddock for their time and instruction.
June 11, 2017. A day trip paddle with perfect weather (at last!) circumnavigating Tondern Island - home of the original Millionaires Row of splendid cottages.
